As to how Dolphinbacks can communicate, some Saurians speak a number of human tongues, and there are the other humans as well, of course. And of course there are always other ways to communicate, like art, music, dance... But human throats generally cannot make all the sounds required for Saurian though your ears can come to learn to hear and understand it. So Dinotopian has two primary languages, Saurian and Human English. There are other languages as well. The official written language is the Footprint language, of course."
